Quite a first quarter @ Bahasi
We like to update you on our adventures here at Bahasi and like to make you aware of what's happening here and Malawi in the past months, the good and the bad. We intend to keep you informed on a regular basis as to the happenings here!
Donations
We have been blessed to receive wonderful gifts for our kids and we also have been able. through a generous gift, to purchase an adjacent piece of land to double the size and a place to house the boys seperate from the girls. The land can also be used for more planting, growing food and more.
Thank you so much to our local well-wishers from Blantyre for 2 bags of likuni phala, 4 cartoons of soap, 2 bags of rice, 50 kgs of beans, 2 bale of soya pieces, 2 bale of sugar and 12 litres of cooking oil. Most appreciated.
Aside we also receive on a monthly basis contributions from well givers and some spontaneous donations in cases of emergency(ies).
Naturally in these dire of times we appreciate your continued support for Bahasi and help us with our programs. So please donate as a member or one time only! For more information click here! Zikomo!!
Hard Times
In late January 2022, Tropical Storm Ana passed through many districts in southern Malawi, leaving devastation and destruction in its wake. In the aftermath of the storm, over 990,000 people urgently require life-saving and life-sustaining humanitarian assistance and protection support, as well as livelihood support to recover from their losses and rebuild their resilience, and access to basic services. We had family homes being destroyed and gladly they are restored with generous gifts.
We still deal with emergencies, like the watersupply, electrical issues and erosion of our grounds and road. And with the situation in the world, such as Ukraine, we also experience of course rising prices in food and supplies.
Fun Stuff for the Kids
Lake Malawi March
A huge thank you to Romana and Pete Thompson of Tranquilo Resort at Cape Maclear in Monkey Bay for hosting us and taking care of our children during their short holiday at the lake. Our children and their carers had a wonderful time. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity.
Hike on Bangwe mountain - Jan
Bahasi went on a hike up Bangwe mountain with the new volunteers and friends. It was a great walk and a bit dryer than last time! Hope this will be the beginning of many more amazing memories with Archie and Jake!

We always celebrate the birthday of our kids and make it fun for them!
