Our Staff

Our projects started with the kindness of our community and the amazing voluntary support from everyone. People can only be relied on for so much. We want to support all our Malawian staff so they can keep BAHASI the warm heart and caring place it has always been.

Fix the BAHASI road

IMG_0321

The road to BAHASI changes every time it rains and is often difficult to drive up, not only for people coming to BAHASI but lots of others in the community. We propose to use money generated in our self-funding projects to fix the road, making it safer to both walk and drive on.

Building a playground

Playground

At BAHASI we want to see as many people happy and smiling as possible, especially the children. We want to provide the best childhood we can to every single child that comes to BAHASI. We aim to make an educational playground, where learning and playing become one!

This project will be one of our first self funded project. Thank you for empowering BAHASI to help others and stand on our own feet.

Building a kitchen

Kitchen

At BAHASI we are very resilient and try to see the best in everything. We are currently without a functioning kitchen and rely on firewood donations to cook on.

Since we cook two meals for the nursery children (Over 60 children) each day, as well as the children in our orphanage care, cooking for this many is already a challenge, which our BAHASI staff overcome each and every day. A safe and basic kitchen space would be beneficial to all and means less cooking time and more time to care for the children.
